Vice President mail
Dave Erlandson has been with Joe Morten & Son, Inc./Great West Casualty Company since 1980, serving both companies in a variety of roles. With Joe Morten & Son, he is pleased to be the agency Team Leader, where he is involved with customer relationships and truck insurance production.

Dave attended the University of Minnesota and Mankato State College (now Minnesota State). Immediately after college, he went to work with GAB Business Services. He was there from 1969, until coming to Great West in 1980.

Dave received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1992. He is past president of the Siouxland Claims Association, the Siouxland Y, the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce and has been active with the United Way of Siouxland, primarily in leadership positions connected with the allocation of funds. Dave currently serves on the board of Awesome Harley Nights.

Dave and Bev, his wife of 36 years, have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and family, plus a variety of outdoor activities.

Tom Koenigs
Senior Account Representative mail
Tom Koenigs has been in the insurance industry since 1982, and has been serving the needs of Joe Morten trucking customers exclusively since 1994. Tom graduated in 1982 from Buena Vista College with a degree in Business Administration. He came to Great West Casualty Company in 1994 as an Account Representative for Joe Morten & Son, Inc. – Motor Carrier Sales Division. Prior to that, Tom was a Commercial Account Representative for the Joe Morten local agency and the Agency Manager for Pioneer Insurance Agency in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

Tom received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1992, and recently received his Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation. He is past-president of the local (Greater Siouxland) CPCU chapter, and past-president of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton School District School Board.

Tom and his wife Kelly have two children. He spends most of his leisure time with his family. Tom also enjoys golfing, hunting, and watching football.

Scott Robinson
Account Representative mail
Scott Robinson is a 1988 graduate of the University of South Dakota with a degree in Business Administration. He began his career in the insurance business with Travelers Insurance in Omaha prior to coming to Great West Casualty Company in 1992. In 1998, he came to Joe Morten & Son, Inc. – Motor Carrier Sales as an Account Representative.

Scott is married to Stephanie and they have three children. He spends most of his time with his family but also enjoys golfing, investments, and most sports.

Steve Lonneman
Account Representative mail
Steve Lonneman came to Great West Casualty Company in 1997. He worked as a claims adjuster in physical damage and cargo until transferring to Joe Morten & Son, Inc. - Motor Carrier Sales as an account representative. Prior to his employment at Great West Casualty Company, Steve worked in transportation with IBP for nearly three years.

Steve grew up on a farm near Ashton, Iowa. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in human resource management and business administration from Briar Cliff College in 1995. He also obtained a Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA) designation from the American Educational Institute.

Steve, his wife, Mary and two daughters Abby and Avery reside in Sergeant Bluff. His interests include hunting, fishing, and he enjoys being outdoors.

Michael Easton
Account Representative mail
Michael Easton joined Great West Casualty Company in 1994 as a physical damage/cargo adjuster. He transferred to Joe Morten & Son, Inc. - Motor Carrier Sales as an account representative in April 2003.

Michael is originally from LeMars, Iowa. He earned his bachelor degree in Business Administration from DeVry Institute in Kansas City. Michael has the Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA) designation from the American Educational Institute.

Michael is married to Rhonda and they have two children. He spends most of his time with his family, but also enjoys playing golf and most other sports.

Roxie Lake
Office Manager mail
Roxie Lake began her career at Great West Casualty Company in 1970, working in the underwriting department.

In July 1989 she began working for the Joe Morten & Son agency as a customer service rep. She has earned the CISR and CIC designations through the National Alliance.

Roxie's duties as office manager include supervisory responsibilities of the agency CSRs and assistants as well as assistanting the agency manger.

Roxie is married to Ken. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Deb Dillon
Senior Customer Service Representative mail
Deb Dillon is a Senior Customer Service Representative who has been in the insurance business since 1990. She started out in the claims steno department, then transferred to Joe Morten & Son. Prior to her employment at Great West Casualty Company/Joe Morten & Son, Inc., Deb worked as an office manager/legal secretary in South Sioux City.

Deb has obtained her CISR designation. Customer service is very important to Deb. She enjoys the direct contact with the customer and the various duties of her job. Deb loves a challenge and the satisfaction of a job well done for our customers.

Deb and her husband, Jack, have three children. Her interests are spending time with her family, bicycling, walking, camping, and cooking/baking.

Mary Ann Holden
Customer Service Representative/Permit Specialist mail
Mary Ann Holden came to Great West Casualty in 1998. She transferred to Joe Morten & Son – SSC in 1999. She specializes in licensing, fuel and authority permits. In addition, she also does certificates of insurance and is the main contact for the independent contractor policies for the JMS-SSC office. Prior to coming to Great West, Mary Ann worked in the trucking industry for seven years. She really enjoys the customer service aspect of her job. Mary Ann has obtained her agent’s license. She has earned the CISR designation and is currently working on the CIC designation through the National Alliance.

Mary Ann is married to Greg and has three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Ann Nice
Senior Customer Service Representative mail
Ann Nice began her career at Great West on March 15, 1994. She has worked at the switchboard, in underwriting support as an endorsement clerk and in actuarial as a compliance technician.

In April 2002, she began working for Joe Morten & Son, Inc. as a Customer Service Representative. Ann has earned her agent's license and enjoys serving her customers.

Ann and her husband, Dan, have one daughter, Melissa. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, crafts and continuing her insurance studies.


Account Representative mail
Shannon Trucke - Shannon started at Great West in 2003 in the claims processing department. She enjoys speaking with our customers and helping them through tough situations.

Shannon moved to JMS-SSC in January of 2005 as a Customer Service Representative. She was promoted to Account Representative in January, 2008. Shannon has earned the CISR designation through the National Alliance.

Shannon is married to Brent and they have three daughters, Rachel, Katelyn & Emily. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, golfing & walking.


Senior Customer Service Representative mail
Laurie Kramper started at Great West in the spring of 1996. Laurie has experience in property & umbrella underwriting, and most recently was a work comp underwriting assistant.

Laurie moved to JMS – SSC as a customer service representative in December of 2006. Her duties include working with customers answering questions, taking policy change requests, issuing policies, issuing certificates as well as other policy related duties. Laurie is in the process of obtaining her Nebraska resident agent’s license. Laurie is married to Terry. They have two grown daughters, one granddaughter and a new grandson on the way. She enjoys boating, camping, jazzercise and spending time with her family & friends.

Jeanette Cole
Agency Assistant mail
Jeanette Cole began working in the insurance industry in 1989. She began her career with Joe Morten & Son, Inc. as an agency assistant in 1999. Her duties include helping the agents with their renewal applications and final policy review. She can also help customers with policy change requests, certificates of insurance and MVR requests.

Jeanette enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cross-stitching. She and her husband are the parents of two daughters and one son. They have one grandson, and one granddaughter.


Customer Service Representative mail
Kathy Miller started at Great West in 1994 in the underwriting department and most recently was part of the work comp underwriting department. In January 2008, she moved to JM&S as a Customer Service Rep. Kathy also has experience in the transportation and warehousing industry. She received her BS in Business Administration from Bellevue University in 2002.

Kathy is married to Doug and they have a son, Taylor, and a daughter, Leah. Kathy enjoys watching her son compete in the Iowa High School Rodeo and watching her daughter play basketball.
